THE SPECKLED BAND

Chapter 1. THE FRIGHTENED LADY

Helen Stoner needs help and visits Sherlock Holmes and his friend Dr.Watson.

She is frightened because her twin sister died in a mysterious way. She is worried for her own life.

Chapter 2. A MYSTERIOUS DEATH

Helen tells to Holmes what happened to her sister. Julia got engaged.

Before the wedding Julia heards a trange whistling, and the sound of metal clanging.

At 3.00a.m. Helen heards the same. Julia opens the door, and tells to Helen "The speckled band". Later, she was dead.

Chapter 3. HELEN´S PEARS

Helen told Holmes that the police don´t find anything. Her stepfather can be very violent, he went to prison once for attacking his servant.

Helen recently got engaged. Her stepfathger was making some repairs and Helen was sleeping in Julia´s room. 

She caught the first train to London to see Holmes. That afternoon Dr. Watson and Sherlock is going to meet Helen at her house.

Chapter 4. AN ANGRY VISITOR

Roylott went to Holmes house, because he was following Helen. Holmes and Watson went to Stoke Moran to meet Helen at her house. Helen was frightened because her father went to Sherlock´s house.

Chapter 5. A STRANGE ROOM

Sherlock was visiting Julia´s room, there was a ventilator that didn´t ventilate and went through Roylott´s room, a bell that didn´t ring and a bed fastened to the floor. 

Chapter 6. MORE STRANGE CLUES

Holmes was visiting Roylott´s room, he saw a saucer of milk, Roylott collects strange animals, he´s got a cheetah and a baboon, there was a safe, a chair and a stick.

Chapter 7. THE SIGNAL

Watson and Holmes take a room in the local inn to watch Helen´s signal that means Roylott is sleeping. Holmes needs proof.

Chapter 8. THE BEAST IN THE GARDEN

Watson and Holmes climbed up Helen´s house, Watson saw a beast and he warned Holmes.

Chapter 9. DANGER IN THE DARK

Holmes and Watson entered through the window, they waited more than three hours in Julia´s room, they heard a scream and they went to Roylott´s room.

Chapter 10. THE CASE IS CLOSED 

Holmes and Watson entered in Roylott´s room, they saw a swamp adder around Roylott´s head. Roylott wanted to stop Helen getting her mother´s money when she married. The next day Helen says goodbye Watson and Holmes to the train station.

A FORMAL LETTER OF INVITATION

Dear cousin Josep,

I am writing to invite you to a family lunch at a restaurant on Friday 9th February. Our Argentin relatives are visiting Catalunya and they are visiting us.

We have prepared a show of animals, the show starts at 5p.m and finishes at 7p.m. There is going to be popcorn and drinks.

Entrance tickets are four pounds for children and eight pounds for adults. After, you can see the animals and feed them.

We have hired a band, they are also going to play instruments to show our types of music in Spain. Due to traffic they may do late, because of we will have to wait.

Dear sister Núria, 

Thank you for buying me clothes in Barcelona for my birthday.
It is the best gift that you can give me in my birthday!
I like it a lot!

I had a beautiful day. My parents gave me a new watch, it was very expensive! In the afternoon my grandparents gave me 100 euros to buy whatever I want.
My friend Jack have me a DVD with photos of us when we were playing as babys. It was really beautiful!

I´m looking forward to seeing you the next week.

SUMMER HOLIDAYS

Last summer I went to the pool with my friends and to the beach with my sister, in Salou. The boys and girls of Vallfogona we went to Portaventura the 31st of august, because during summer we cleaned the village.

When we went to Portaventura, we went to the attractions with more adrenaline. I felt funny, crazy and happy.

When I went to the beach, the floor burned and the water was cold, it was a hot day.
During the summer I went to the pool with my friends almost every day, I felt happy.

Last summer night I went out to the street to enjoy the last day of summer.
I had very good summer, because I´m happy with my parents and friends.

WRITING ABOUT MEMORIES

I started school when I was three years old. I remember the first morning. There were a lot of children in the classroom. It was scary, some children cried.

My first teacher´s name was Mrs. Imma. She was a very good prtson, she was patient, with brown eyes and short, wavy, brown hair. She was the dentist of the school.

My first friend was Mariona. She was shorter than me, with long, wavy, brown hair. She was very funny. At the break, we played football in the playground or to catch us. My other friend was Naila. She was shorter than me, with long, straight, brown hair. She was a good person.

I liked my friends, and I like it now!

CUPCAKES

I choose the cupcakes, because, is a food very delicious and easy to cook, my grandma always cooks cupcakes!

INGREDIENTS:

200 g of sugar

2 eggs

200 g of oil of olive

200 g of milk

280 g flour

25 g of baking powder

color, lemon

First put the eggs in a bowl, next, add the sugar. Add the oil of olive, the taste of the oil is soft. After that, put a little of yellow food coloring. Next, stir with your hand. Add the milk, next put 10 drops of lemon.

Add the flour, now put into the bowl the baking powder, you can use the traditional ROYAL. three tablespoons is sufficient.

Now you can mix the ingredients with a half speed. 5 MINUTES.

Put the bowl into a fridge with a plastic film. Leave with repose minimum one hour.

After that, put the pasta with a hose into the molds.

Next, put this in a oven, 240 degrees during 8··10 minutes. 

FINALLY, YOU CAN EAT THE CUPCAKES!!
