WRITING 2. La Pedrera

La Pedrera is a very important and huge building situated in Barcelona, at “avenue de gràcia”.

La Pedrera looks like abstract, it has got a lot of windows and decorations, it has got a balcony out that is absolutely abstract too because the floor has got waves with different colors and forms. It’s extremely high. Although, it has a lift.
People can visit the flates of the block and rooms. Children can also do activities which are incredible and funny and buy souvenirs for their family and friends. It was built in the 20th century by the arquitect, Antoni Gaudí, who adored the abstract symbolism and forms. Year before, people can live at Its flates.

In my opinion, I have visited La Pedrera and I can say that is an interesting and beautiful building. I recommend it to you.

WRITING 1.

Last month, I travelled to Barcelona with my parents and my sister Núria because we went to a concert of Melendi.

We reached Barcelona at 11.00 a.m, then we stayed in a very beautiful hotel. During the morning we went to a shopping centre, a park and an incredible museum of statues. The concert was started at 8.30 p.m. After this, we went at my parent's friends house in the centre of Barcelona but, obviusly the street was very noisy I thought. At 7.00 p.m. we came back to our hotel to prepar us to go to Melendi's concert. We reached the Palau Sant Jordi's queue. While we were waiting, my mother said: Oh no, the tickets of the concert! then I thought that my uncle was going to go to Barcelona this afternoon, and we decided to called him.

Finally, my uncle took the tickets and came to Barcelona to gave us them.
It was a good and funny day, but my parents looked like very stressed...

PARACHUTING!!

SOME RULES OFF PARACHUTING...

• You should wear a helmet 
• You should wear a belt 
• You must wear a especial equipment
• You must listen to the instructor, he tell you the rules.
• You shouldn't play parachuting in a windy day
• You should't be nervous
• You mustn't do turns with the parachute.
• The planes mustn't fly in this few moments.

ARGENTINA!!

Hi Noèlia,

We´re in Argentina! Last week, from 15 to 20 of February we took a plane and we left Catalonia. We´ve done lots of different things and we have enjoyed.`

I´ve visited the Glaciars, they were really cold, I have visited a musem of art too and seen a theater act and eaten tipical food od Argentina, It was deliciously good.

The last day, I went to Barriloche and I ate fresh fish, I took a hire car to go to a mountain that was it totally snowy. At the mountain, I went skiing! It was my favourite day.

But, I haven´t swam in a lake or bought any souvenirs.

Which is your favourite?

In our presentation, we compared three animated films: Frozen, The beauty and the beast and The Tinkerbell. The three films are from Disney. They are enjoyable to see, interesting and good animated films.
Frozen is a film about a girl with snowpowers. She's got a little sister. One day, her magic powers attack Ana, her sister. She fights to save her.
The beauty and the beast is a film about a beauty girl, who meets a beast and the beast closes her in his castle. The beast and the beauty fall in love, but the people of her town go to kill it. The Tinkerbell is a fairy, every fairy has got a work, her work is tintineadora, she doesn't like her work and she wants to change it.


In my opinion, (Paula.G) I think The Tinkerbell is the best film because it's the most enjoyable and is for all ages. The beauty and the beast is more realistic than Frozen but Frozen is more funnier than The beauty and the beast.

In my opinion, (Paula.T) my favourite film is Frozen beause I like the story. I think The beauty and the beast is as interesting as Frozen. The Tinkerbell is less interesting than The beauty and the beast.


In conclusion (Paula.G) I think The Tinkerbell is the best, I'm giving it five stars. I think The beauty and the beast is better than Frozen and I'm giving it four stars. Personally, I think Frozen is the worst and I'm giving it two stars.

Personally, (Paula.T) I think Frozen is the best of the three. I'm giving it five stars. I think The beauty and the beast is funnier than Frozen, I', giving it four stars. I think The Tinkerbell is the worst film, I'm giving it one star. 

THE SPECKLED BAND

Chapter 1. THE FRIGHTENED LADY

Helen Stoner needs help and visits Sherlock Holmes and his friend Dr.Watson.

She is frightened because her twin sister died in a mysterious way. She is worried for her own life.

Chapter 2. A MYSTERIOUS DEATH

Helen tells to Holmes what happened to her sister. Julia got engaged.

Before the wedding Julia heards a trange whistling, and the sound of metal clanging.

At 3.00a.m. Helen heards the same. Julia opens the door, and tells to Helen "The speckled band". Later, she was dead.

Chapter 3. HELEN´S PEARS

Helen told Holmes that the police don´t find anything. Her stepfather can be very violent, he went to prison once for attacking his servant.

Helen recently got engaged. Her stepfathger was making some repairs and Helen was sleeping in Julia´s room. 

She caught the first train to London to see Holmes. That afternoon Dr. Watson and Sherlock is going to meet Helen at her house.

Chapter 4. AN ANGRY VISITOR

Roylott went to Holmes house, because he was following Helen. Holmes and Watson went to Stoke Moran to meet Helen at her house. Helen was frightened because her father went to Sherlock´s house.

Chapter 5. A STRANGE ROOM

Sherlock was visiting Julia´s room, there was a ventilator that didn´t ventilate and went through Roylott´s room, a bell that didn´t ring and a bed fastened to the floor. 

Chapter 6. MORE STRANGE CLUES

Holmes was visiting Roylott´s room, he saw a saucer of milk, Roylott collects strange animals, he´s got a cheetah and a baboon, there was a safe, a chair and a stick.

Chapter 7. THE SIGNAL

Watson and Holmes take a room in the local inn to watch Helen´s signal that means Roylott is sleeping. Holmes needs proof.

Chapter 8. THE BEAST IN THE GARDEN

Watson and Holmes climbed up Helen´s house, Watson saw a beast and he warned Holmes.

Chapter 9. DANGER IN THE DARK

Holmes and Watson entered through the window, they waited more than three hours in Julia´s room, they heard a scream and they went to Roylott´s room.

Chapter 10. THE CASE IS CLOSED 

Holmes and Watson entered in Roylott´s room, they saw a swamp adder around Roylott´s head. Roylott wanted to stop Helen getting her mother´s money when she married. The next day Helen says goodbye Watson and Holmes to the train station.
